Introduction
My name is Maryellen and Maryellen’s Pretty Things is my way of sharing with you my passion for knitting and love of children.
The hand knit items you’ll see on the pages of this web site are classy and cute. Crafted with care they are the result of over 50 years knitting experience. Most items are made using a variety of acrylic yarns so they are easy to maintain (machine washable) and long lasting. These garments may be passed on to others and will look great for a long time!
Several of the designs, such as the SophistiKoats, are my personal creations. I often mix in embellishments such as: special bows, crocheted flowers, and special buttons. You’ll also find some designs that I have retired, but can still be special ordered. Special orders are welcome so, if you see an item that is not the right color or size, drop me a note using the form on the “Contact Me” page and I’ll be happy to discuss your particular needs.

If you do happen to place an order with me you should know that I accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as well as check (takes longer) and cash (if you happen to be in my local market). We ship USPS Priority Mail to addresses in the Continental U.S. only. Alaska, Hawaii, and other locations please contact me first by using the form on my “Contact Me” page.
